A note about collectibles in Rime: most collectibles can be seen in your 'Extras' screen when you pause the game. Collectibles are also cumulative, which means anything you miss in one playthrough you can collect in the next playthrough without needing to collect ones you already got. This can make it easier to get 100% completion for those of you aiming for that. All collectibles are completely optional, but some secrets may provide additional story background that you might find interesting, and some might slightly affect the story (very slightly).
In this area, note the fruit and thorny plants on the immediate right side. Grab this and move around the area until you've found a large boar. Throw the fruit through the thorny plants and it the boar will smash them, clearing up a path for you that leads to the Boar Toy.
Also note, from the starting position of the area, further to the right (past the fruit) a cave/tunnel leading down to a beach and waterfall area.
Light the three lanterns in this tunnel by shouting and at the beach/water take note that you can go two ways, left or right. Going right leads to the waterfall, where you can light two more lanterns and grab a blue-ish/glowing orb. Take this back to the far other side (left) of the beach (go through the cave a bit again) until yu reach an ancient mech-like machine on the ground. Do not throw the orb, instead, shout while standing next to it and you'll get a trophy: Ancient Treasure.
Trophy/Achievement: Continuing to light torches will eventually earn you Lighten Up.
Return to the orb producing machine behind the waterfall and collect anothr orb. Throw this as far as you can (get on the ramp in the middle of the beach and toss it down the ramp) to get another trophy: That Went Too Far. Now check out the structure in roughly the middle of the area and use the rock to reach some ledges to climb up. Inside you'll find the Water Outfit. Go up and enjoy the view (and spot the red caped figure again).
Now return to the main area and light the four lanterns in the main path and check the standard in the middle, through which you can look. Align it correctly to reveal an doorway. Before going through, however, check out the platform by the seaside to the far left side of the area to collect another Fox Emblem Fragment (4/4).
Go through the doorway and drop down. Grab the box and put it next to the pillar with ledges you can hang onto, then climb up. Turn around and ignite the two lanterns here, then go upstairs. Pull/push the object into its right spot (marked by holes) and be sure to align it exactly as the spot indicates, then go to the viewing standard and align the view correctly to reveal another doorway.
Go through, and head up the stairs but wait with going into the next room. Instead, walk to the end of the stairs and check out the ledge to the left, which you can climb down and from here move left to a secret area.
Check out the white tower in this secret area to find the Lullaby Shell #2.
Head up the steps in the secret area to find Keyhole #1, which create a series of picture telling the story of Rime.
Now drop down to the puzzle down below. The archway is incomplete again. Pull the small piece on the movable block to the other side and rotate the standard 180 degrees and look through. Align the piece underneath the arch, a bit to the left, to 'glue' them together. Now push it back to its original location, turn the viewing standard 180 degress again and look through to complete the doorway. Head down and go through.
Continue and light the torches, then go up and grab the key, using it immediately on the nearby door. This leads to a large arena with three statues in the middle, a Sphinx statue with two keyholes in the back, and two ways to head into. An area with three orbs is to the left, white ruins are to the right. Choose for the latter.
A boar will remove some plants out of the way for you. Nice. Use the fruit on the right side to have it create a path through the plants up ahead and interact with the statue afterward to reveal a doorway. Go through, use the orb on the standard in the middle and climb up. Grab the orb and throw it at the upper platform with the second standard, then climb towards there and use the orb again to continue.
The next puzzle is a little more difficult. There are three standards here, but only two orb machines and thus two orbs. The goal is to place one orb on the standard on the upper left stairwell, and one in the middle. To do this, place one orb on the platform in between the stairs, and use the other orb to raise this platform (by placing it in the standard to the right). Climb the stairs with the orb, drop it (Circle) in the golden circle, then drop down and place the second orb into the standard on the left. This lowers the standard at the top of the left stairs, allowing you to place the orb in there. With this done, simply put the orb on the ground level in the middle standard to proceed. You can then grab the key after aligning it properly.
Head back to the large arena and place the key in the Sphinx statue in the back. One more to go. Head over the bridge to the left to the orb tower.
Trophy/Achievement: While climbing this tower watch out for bird nests. If you reach the top without treading upon any you will get 'Careful Steps'.
Go around the back, climbing down and leaping over to solid ground. This first puzzle requires you to find the statue on the left side, activate it while grabbing the platform that it raises, and quickly jumping to the other side. Here you'll find a large orb. Place it near the statue at the top and activate it, then go through the newly opened doorway and place the orb into its slot. Stand on the platform and activate the orb so all four statues are instantly activated, opening up the door.
Climb the tower and jump off at the first floor. Push the orb to the far left corner, activate the statue on the distant platform and quickly pull the orb back to the three statues on the tower and activate it again. These three statues extend the tower, allowing you to climb all the way to the top and activate the large orb.
Now head back down to the arena and grab the key from its obvious position.
Before putting the keys it into the Sphinx, however, first swim down the pool to a secret area and walk around a little but in this room with flowers to receive the Funeral Flowers Trophy.
When you've done so, insert the keys into the sphinx statue and head over the long bridge.
The next puzzle is fairly straightforward. Push the golden ball until the time is adjusted in such a fashion that the statue's shadow is in the exact correct spot on the left silhouette. Stand on the right block yourself to create a bridge towards the Large Keyhole Tower.
Head over the very long bridge, but don't go inside the building just yet. Instead, head LEFT and spot the secret opening on the left side. Go through and walk the end of the path to find the Third Outfit at the very end. Go back afterwards.
Open the doorway and go through the enormous hall. Look behind you to spot a collectible at the far back (high up). In any case, continue into the circular room with vases. You need to head through the crack with wind flowing through, but wait with doing that for now, as you'll want to get the collectible we spotted just now. Look for a fallen over pillar that diagonally leads to an upper path on the center of the structure and follow this to its end to the left, where you have to go over several pillars. Follow the path through the doorway and you'll reach an Emblem Fragment (Fifth Emblem, upper part).
Now head back to the circular room with vases, go through the windy crack (no pun) until you reach a large dark room with various statues you can sing to so they keep their glow. Here you'll want to do two things. First of all, sing so that you make all of them glow. Second, head towards a hidden entrance at the outer ring (jump towards it) and make your way (by singing - mind the gap!) over to the White Shade #1. There are four of them and they're required for the Sweet Memory Trophy.
When you've made all the small statues glow inside this area you'll get the 'The Path of Light' Trophy.
Trophy/Achievement: Once the game is completed, reload the first stage. When you get to the big dark circular room with the maze-like path, make your way to the center without using your voice to earn 'Dark and Quiet'.
Head to the center and drop down, then follow the walkway to an area that can only be described as: The Stairwell. Once you start out at the top of a temple-like set of platforms with humanoid statues of salt all around the platforms, turn around from where you start and move against the statue below the platforms to break the Strange Statue #1 (looks just like the others but you'll get a checkpoint save after breaking it).
Trophy/Achievement: Once the game has been completed, reload the second stage. Equip the sixth outfit before leaving the platform to follow the fox. When you're almost to the statue you will earn 'Blend in with the Surroundings'.
The fox will lead you through a temple area eventually. Continue until you reach an outside area. The fox will lead you to a puzzle with a golden ball, but ignore that puzzle for now and step through the tunnel to the left (while facing the puzzle). Run through that entrance and then through the next entrance to the left and you'll enter a chamber with an Emblem Fragment (second emblem, upper left part). Move the golden ball to solve the silhouette puzzle and a cutscene will play, bringing you to the next area.
